These are the only materials I have seen this size in, also no exposed mainspring or cast foot
examples have shown up. It appears this model was not started until after 1892, I have a 1892 price guide and it is not listed
but it could have been production sometime in that year, the brass reel I have seen has thinner plates than the size 1 or
2 and has a smooth edge both the one piece and two piece mainspring cover have shown up. It should be marked inside with eather
a Roman Numeral or regular number
The diameter of the reel is 3 13/16 or 3 7/8
This
size reel has 42 holes in the plate sides.
